4) Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where applicable, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (for security, product improvement, portfolio unless you opt out per contract), consent (for marketing or non-essential cookies), and legal obligations.

5) Sharing and disclosures

We share personal information only as needed to operate our services:

• Service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, email, payments, e-signature, project tools, manufacturers.

• Creative partners: vetted contractors under confidentiality for your project.

• Legal and safety: to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights.

• Business transactions: if we enter a merger, financing, or acquisition, consistent safeguards will apply.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will provide a clear opt-out and update this Policy.

6) Sensitive and biometric-adjacent data

If a project requires voice cloning or voiceprint analysis, face reference, or similar processing:

• We obtain explicit consent, use such data only for the requested service, apply heightened safeguards, and retain it only as long as needed for the project or as required by law.

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions for any third-party likenesses or voices you give us. See also Section 12.

7) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and export your data, to object or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. You may also limit the use of sensitive personal information where required by law.

• Global signals: We honor recognized browser-level opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required.

• EEA/UK: You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, though we encourage contacting us first.

• Appeals (US states that require it): If we deny a rights request, you may appeal by replying to our response email with “Appeal.” We will respond within the required time and explain how to contact your regulator if you disagree.

Submit a request or appeal: email earlyadopters@sorreel.com. We will verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

8) Cookies and similar technologies

• Essential cookies run the site and cannot be turned off.

• Analytics cookies help us understand usage.

• Advertising cookies are off by default and used only with consent, if ever enabled.

In the EEA and UK we request opt-in consent before setting non-essential cookies and provide “Accept all,” “Reject all,” and “Manage choices” options with equal prominence. You can change preferences at any time via our cookie settings link and your browser settings.

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10) International transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, recognized transfer frameworks. We can provide details on request.

11) Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described, to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, or to resolve disputes. Project archives are typically retained up to 12 months after final delivery unless a contract or law requires a different period or you request deletion where feasible.

12) Client content, likeness, and voice

If you provide content that includes other people’s personal information, voice, image, or likeness, you confirm you have the necessary rights or consents to provide it and to authorize our use for the project. For avatar or voice creation and transformation, you are responsible for obtaining any required releases and complying with applicable publicity, privacy, or biometric laws.

13) Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (U.S. COPPA), and we do not seek consent directly from children where parental consent is required (for example, EU or UK GDPR child-consent ages). If you believe a child provided data to us, contact earlyadopters@sorreel.com and we will delete it. We will only process voice, likeness, or other sensitive inputs from minors with verifiable parental authorization.

14) Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information.

15) Assessments and accountability

Where required by law, we conduct Data Protection or Privacy Impact Assessments for activities such as processing sensitive data or high-risk profiling. We maintain internal records of processing and vendor due diligence appropriate to our size and risk profile.

16) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email when appropriate. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
